BCL organises blood donation campaign
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) today organised a voluntary blood donation campaign on the Dhaka University (DU) campus here marking its 72nd founding anniversary.
A total of 200 leaders and activists of BCL donated blood voluntarily at the campaign in front of Aparajeo Bangla on the campus this morning.
All the collected bloods were handed over to the blood donation organizations of different hospitals, said General Secretary of BCL Lekhak Bhattacharya.
“Like previous years, we organised this campaign in a bid to help the people who have to go door to door and suffers a lot in collecting blood when they need it”, Lekhak added.
Lekhak further said BCL organised this campaign in every founding anniversary with an aim to inspire the activists and leaders of BCL as well as the people to donate blood voluntarily.
“From the view of doing something in reducing the sufferings of people in collecting blood, we took this little initiative marking the founding anniversary of BCL”, said BCL President Al Nahian Khan Joy.
Leaders and activists of BCL different unit took part in the campaign.
