‘E-Traffic Prosecution and Fine Payment System’ underway: Muhith

DHAKA, June 7, 2018 (BSS) – Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith in his
budget speech said he was committed to make services of the law enforcing
agencies pro-people with introduction of ‘E-Traffic Prosecution and Fine
Payment System’ and Service Friendly Traffic Management System’.

Placing the budget proposal for the fiscal (FY) 2018-2019 at the Jatiya
Sangsad here today, he said, “The services of the law enforcing agencies are
being made pro-people through use of ICT. In this regard, initiatives such as
‘E-Traffic Prosecution and Fine Payment System’ and Service Friendly Traffic
Management System’ are underway.”

The government has allocated Taka 24,774 crore for the Ministry of Home in
the proposed budget for the fiscal (FY) 2018-2019.

Taka 21,424 crore has been allocated for Public Security Division of the
Home Ministry and Taka 3,350 crore Security Services Division of the Home
Ministry in the proposed budget for the FY 2018-19.

The proposed allocation for the ministry of home is Taka 2,531 crore
higher compared to the revised budget for the FY 2017-2018.
