Road accident kills two in Gopalganj
GOPALGANJ, Jan 3, 2020 (BSS) – Two people including a woman were killed in
two separate road accidents in Sadar upazila here.
The deceased were identified as Bishwajit Mondol, 25, hailed from Bagerhat
district and Laboni Begum, 26, a resident of Gopalganj Sadar upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Thana Monirul Islam said an accident
occurred when a truck hit a Mahindra from behind this morning at Pathalia on
the Dhaka-Khulna Highway, leaving Bishwajit dead on the spot.
Besides, Laboni died in another accident that took place last night when a
microbus crushed her in Ghonapara area on the aforesaid Highway, the OC said.
She was rushed to Gopalganj General Hospital where the duty doctors
declared her dead, he added.
