Driver, helper killed in Bogura road accident
BOGURA, Jan 2, 2020 (BSS) – A truck driver and helper were killed in a road
accident in Sherpur Upazila of the district last night.
Police sources said the deceased were identified as driver Sanowar Hossain,
35, and his helper Minto Mia, 38. Both were residents of Madla Malitola
village in Shajahanpur Upazila of the district.
Police said the accident occurred at around 1am last night when the truck
collided head-on with a bus in Chandaikona Rawroa area on Bogura-Dhaka
Highway.
The truck driver died on the spot while helper Minto succumbed to his
injuries at the hospital, police said.
Fifteen others were injured in the road accident. The injured were admitted
to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
