Rain likely at many places over country
DHAKA, Jan 02, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that rain may occur at many parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet”, said a met office bulletin issued here this morning.
Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning, added the bulletin.
However, Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may fall by (1-2) Celsius over the country.
The highest temperature was recorded as 28.5 degree Celsius in Dhaka on Wednesday while today’s lowest temperature was 11.5 degree Celsius in Tentulia.
The sun sets at 5:23pm today and rises at 6:42 am tomorrow in the capital.
