MANIKGANJ, Jan 1, 2019 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister, Zahid Maleque, MP said, supplying a huge quantity of Free Text book to the students on the very beginning of the year is a great achievement of the government of Sheikh Hasina.
The Health Minister said, the number of passing of the students in all public examinations has also increased remarkably. The government has taken all necessary steps to ensure quality education at all level.
The Minister said today while inaugurating the distribution of Free Text books among the students at Manikganj as a chief guest.
The Minister distributed the books among the students of
Manikganj Government High School, Manikganj SK Government Girl’s High School and 88 no Government Primary School in the town.
S M Ferdous, Deputy Commissioner, Manikganj, Rifat Rahman Shamim,SP, Gazi Quamrul Huda Selim, Mayor, Manikganj Municipality, Faridul Islam, District Education Officer (DEO), Nilufa Rahman, District Primary Education Officer(DPEO), Quamrun Nahar, Headmaster, Govt. High School and Rebeka Jahan, Headmaster, S K Govt. Girl’s High School among others were present on this occasion.
Later Health and Family Welfare Minister distributed books among the students of several schools in Manikganj Sadar upazila and Saturia upazila of the district.
A total of 29, 88,701 Text books are being distributed free of cost among 3, 22,747 students of 1391 educational institutes in the district on the 1st January, 2020, the beginning day of the Academic year amidst festivity.
