RpMP distributes blankets among cold-hit people in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jan 1, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) has distributed blankets among the cold-stricken people on Tuesday when police commissioner Md. Abdul Alim Mahmud called upon affluent people to stand beside the distressed people to mitigate their sufferings.

Voluntary organisation ‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ organised the function sponsored by the authority of Rangpur Royal Resort and Recreation Park at Rangpur Royal Resort and Recreation Park in Niyamatpur area of the city on Tuesday night..

The RpMP Chief, also Chief Adviser of ‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’, distributed blankets among a large number of cold-stricken distressed people of the area in the function.

The blankets were distributed as part of a program of distributing 3,000 blankets by ‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ among cold-stricken people of the metropolis.

Some 2,000 pieces of blankets have already been distributed under the program in last couple of weeks. President of ‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ and Assistant Police Commissioner (Kotwali Zone) of RpMP presided over the function.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) of RpMP Muttaki Ibne Minan, its Assistant Police Commissioner (DB and Media) Md. Altaf Hossain, Assistant Police Commissioner (Traffic North) Farhad Imrul Kayes and other police officials were present.

Owners of Rangpur Royal Resort and Recreation Park and noted business personalities of the city Md. Mosaddek Hossain, Manjur Ahmed Azad, Alamgir Hossain and Joynal Abedin and members of ‘Manobotar Bondhone Rangpur’ attended the event.

The RpMP Chief also urged different socio-cultural, voluntary and trade organisations and financial institutions to stand beside cold-hit people with warm clothes to lessen their miseries.
