Book on life & works of home minister unveiled
DHAKA, Dec 31, 2019 (BSS) – A book on the life and works of Home Minister Advocate Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was unveiled today.
The book titled ‘Nondito Swarastra Mantree Bir Muktijoddha Asaduzzaman Khan’ edited by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Md Habibur Rahman was unveiled at a function at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium.
Language Hero National Prof. Rafiqul Islam, President of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary National Celebration Implementation Committee, chaired the function.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Commissioner of Anti Corruption Commission Dr Mozammel Haque Khan, Senior Secretary of Security Division Mustafa Kamal Uddin, Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari, former advisor to the caretaker government Maj. Gen. (retd) A R Khan, Independence War Award Recipient Litterateur Selina Hossain and Ekushey Padak Recipient and Editor of the daily Kaler Kantha Imdadul Haque Milon were present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Asaduzzaman Khan said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the illustrious daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, gave me the charge of the home ministry as its state minister on January 12 in 2014.
She also instructed me to work for the common people with honesty and sincerity, he said, adding, “I took the assignment given by the premier as a challenge.”
