RABINDRA -POETRY-SEMINAR (with picture)
Rabindra and Hafiz poetry seminar held at RU
RAJSHAHI, Dec 30, 2019 (BSS) – A seminar on ‘Rabindranath and Hafiz Poetry:
Spiritual Correlation’ was held at Senate Building of Rajshahi University
(RU) here today.
RU’s Department of Persian Language and Literature organized the seminar,
largely attended by academics and researchers on the issue.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Abdus Sobhan addressed the seminar
as chief guest while Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Reja Nafar and RU Pro-
Vice-Chancellor Prof Ananda Kumar Saha spoke as special guests with Chairman
of the department Prof Osman Gani in the chair.
Arts Faculty Dean Prof Fazlul Haque and Iranian Embassy’s Cultural Consular
Dr Sayeed Hassan Sihat also spoke.
Visiting Professor of the department Dr Amid Hamedani, Faculty Member of
Tehran’s Institute of Humanities and Culture Studies Dr Elham Malek Jadeh,
Visiting Professor of Dhaka University’s Persian Literature and Language
Department Dr Kazem Kadui and RU’s Persian Literature and Language Department
Professor Kamal Uddin presented separate keynote papers in the seminar.
