DMP denies BNP permission to stage planned rally
DHAKA, Dec 30, 2019 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today said
it denied BNP permission to stage a planned rally in the city fearing it
could cause traffic congestions on a busy office day.
“We have not granted them permission,” DMP Commissioner Md Shafiqul
Islam told a news briefing at his office here as BNP earlier announced its
plan to stage a public meeting in front of the party’s central Naya Paltan
office or at Suhrawardy Udyan today.
