CUMILLA, Dec 29, 2019 (BSS) – A man was killed and 20 others were injured as a passenger bus overturned on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Zia Uddin, hailed from Kunjosri village
under Chauddagram Upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moinamoti Highway Thana Alamgir Hossain said the
accident occurred in Nazira Bazar area on the highway as the bus driver lost
control over the steering. Zia was rushed to Cumilla Medical College
Hospital, where the duty doctors declared him dead, the OC said.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals in the district.
A case was filed in this connection.
