Raushan chief patron, GM Quader chairman of JaPa
DHAKA, Dec 28, 2019 (BSS) – Raushan Ershad, wife of late Jatiya Party (JaPa) founder HM Ershad, was made the Chief Patron of the party while GM Quader was elected as the chairman for the next three years.
The Chief Election Commissioner of the council advocate Sheikh Seraj announced the names at the ninth national council held at the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) here today.
Opposition Chief Whip in the Parliament Moshiur Rahman Ranga was elected as secretary general of the party at the council.
Earlier, JaPa Chairman and Deputy Opposition Leader in the parliament GM Quader inaugurated the council.
Founder of the party HM Ershad, who had vibrant presence in the last eight JaPa councils, died at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka on July 14 last at the age of 89.
