4 militants of Ansarullah Bangla Team sent to jail
DHAKA, Dec 25, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today sent four members of
banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team to jail after the end of their
4-day remand in a case filed under the anti-terrorism act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kanak Barua passed the order as police
produced the accused – Ariful Karim Chowdhury alias Adnan Chowdhury, Mehedy
Hasan Shakil alias Babu, Abdul Al Mamun and Nazmul Hasan – before the court.
Earlier, police detained the alleged militants from Shah Ali Police
Station area on December 18 and recovered jihadi books, leaflets, and devices
from their possession.
Following filing of a case, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah
placed the militants on 4-day remand on December 20.
