Seven eateries fined Tk 40,000 in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, June 6, 2018 (BSS) – Seven foods shops and factories were fined
Taka 40,000 here today on charges of manufacturing and selling unhygienic and
sub-standard food items.
A team of Department of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP)
conducted raids in Kasiadanga, Kathalbaria and Court Station areas in the
city and found seven food factories and shops preparing, possessing and
selling food items in unhygienic condition.
Subsequently, the team fined the owners a total of Taka 40,000 and
realized the fine instantly.
Apurba Adhikary, Assistant Director of DNCRP, said such drive against
violation of consumers’ rights will continue in future.
