Govt to look into attacks on Nur: Kamal

DHAKA, Dec 24, 2019 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said the government will look into the matter of repeated attacks on DUCSU vice-president Nurul Haque Nur.

“We will enquiry into the repeated attacks on Nur,” he said while replying to a reporter’s question after a function of Soviet Alumni Association at Wasa Bhaban in the city’s Karwan Bazar.

The minister said a case was filed over the incident at Dhaka University and police have already arrested some people, adding, “Those who were seen on the spot will be detained.”

Earlier, Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) Vice President (VP) Nurul Haque and 22 others were injured in an attack out by some people.

A case was filed today against 30-35 leaders and activists of Muktijuddho Mancha, including its central general secretary Al Mamun and DU unit GS Yasir Arafat Turjo, for their alleged involvement in the incident. Al Mamun and Yasir Arafat Turjo were detained by detectives yesterday.
