RANGPUR, Dec 23, 2019 (BSS) – A college student was killed in a road accident at Char
Chatra point in Haragachh Thana of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in the metropolis
today, police said.
Assistant Police Commissioner (DB and Media) of RpMP Altaf Hossain said the accident
occurred this noon, when a sand-laden truck hit the victim while he was crossing the road under Haragachh Thana of Rangpur Metropolitan Police. He died on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Ariful Islam, 19, a second year (honours) student of Rangpur
Carmichael College.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the body was
handed over to the relatives after completing necessary legal formalities.
A case was filed in this connection with Haragachh Thana.
