DHAKA, Dec 23, 2019 (BSS) – Eight national and multinational laboratories and inspection organisations today received accreditation certificates from Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) as part of the organisation’s process to strengthen the country’s position in export business.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the certificates to the representatives of the organizations at the Industries Ministry Conference room in the city today, said a Ministry press release.
State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder was present as the special guest presided over by Industries Secretary Md Abdul Halim.
Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) organized the function and its Director General M Monowaul Islam gave the welcome address speech.
The certificate recipient organizations are OTS (Pvt.) Ltd, Panthapath, Dhaka, German-based TUV SUD Bangladesh, Dhaka, LabRight Bangladesh Ltd, Baridhara, Dhaka, Modern Testing Services (BD) Ltd, Savar, Dhaka, Creative Wash Limited – Lab, Noman Terry Towel Testing Laboratory, Epic Health Care, Chattogram, KGS Quality Action Ltd., Mohakhali, Dhaka.
Speaking on the occasion, the Industries Minister directed the high ups of the BAB to strengthen the operations of providing accreditation certificates to newer sectors to attain the goal of qualitative industrialization.
Mentioning that the government of Sheikh Hasina has always been prioritizing on qualitative industrialization, Humayun said the government has never compromised with the quality of industrial products and services and would never do in future.
