Presumed drug trader found dead in Gafargaon
MYMENSINGH, June 6, 2018 (BSS) – Police recovered the bullet-hit body of an
alleged drug dealer from Char Kalibari area in Gafargaon upazila of the
district early today.
The deceased was identified as Manik Mia, 32, of village char Machhlanda
Giratipara in Gafargaon.
Abdul Ahad Khan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gafargaon Police Station said
locals spotted the bullet ridden body at Char Kalibari area.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent
it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said the OC.
The body bore a bullet wound in the chest, he added.
Police claimed to have recovered 49 pieces of yaba tablets, one used
bullet and two sharp weapons from the spot.
Manik was accused in six cases.
