CHATTOGRAM, Dec 22, 2019 (BSS)-Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7
forces rounded up the prime accused in mass rape case of Banskhali upazila of
the district today.
The accused was Jasim Uddin alias Putuiya (30), son of Mohammad Kalu.
He was detained from Chambal village of Banshkali upazila this morning,
said RAB commandant Lt Col Moshiur Rahman Juwel.
Law enforcers recovered one single barrel gun and one knife from his
possession.
RAB sources said the accused committed rape to one juvenile on August 19,
2018 in Chambal area of Banskhali and Jasim was the principal mastermind of
the mass rape.
Acting on secret information, RAB forces conducted raid in Chambal and
arrested him.
