Police Football Club stay in championship race in Fed CUP

DHAKA, Dec 21, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh Police Football Club shrugged off
their previous match defeat as they bounced back to register a 3-1 goal
victory over Arambagh Krira Sangha in their second and last group match of
Federation Cup Football held on Saturday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

The day’s wins means, Bangladesh Police Football Club stayed in the
championship race following their 0-4 goal defeat to Abahani Limited in their
group opening match.

In the day’s match, foreign recruit Rivera Sidney Adam put Police ahead
in the 32nd minute while after the lemon break he doubled the lead scoring
the second goal for Police in the 82nd minute of the match.

Arambagh pulled one back as Bangladesh Police’s foreign recruit Aider
scored a suicidal in the 88th minute.

Luka sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Police in the 90+2nd
minute of the match.

Police dominated the entire proceeding and notched their deserving
victory while Arambagh was totally off-colored on the day.

Arambagh will play their next match against Abahani Limited scheduled to
be held on Tuesday (December 24) at the same venue.

Meanwhile, two matches of the tournament will be held tomorrow (Sunday)
with Rahmatganj Muslim and Fiends Society will take on Lieutenant Sheikh
Jamal Dhanmondi Club which kicks off at 3.30 pm while Brothers Union meet
Chattogram Abahani Limited in the day’s second match beginning at 6.15 pm,
both to be held at the same venue.
