Fazle Hasan Abed’s death mourned
DHAKA, Dec 20, 2019 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of BRAC founder and chair emeritus Sir Fazle Hasan Abed.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Deputy Speaker Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury also expressed profound shock at the death of Fazle Hasan Abed.
In separate condolence messages, Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Planning Minister MA Mannan, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid also mourned his death.
Sir Fazle Hasan Abed died of a brain tumor at the age of 83 at a hospital in the city tonight at the age of 83.
