MSC, Muktis play 1-1 draw in Federation Cup Football
DHAKA, Dec 20, 2019 (BSS)- Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited split point with Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra when their match ended in a 1-1 goal draw in the group D match of Federation Cup Football held on Friday at Bangabandhu National Stadium here this evening.
In the day’s match, Amir Hakim Bappy put the freedom fighters ahead early in the 3rd minute but Shah Alamgir Anik restored the parity for Mohammedan in the 34th minute of the match.
After the resumption, Both the teams got several scoring chances to increase the margin but failed to convert those into a goal lack of proper finishing.
Earlier, in the day’s first match on the day, Sheikh Russell Krira edged past Uttar Baridhara Club by a solitary goal scored by Raphael in the 17th minute of the match.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Police, who lost their opening match to Abahani Limited by 4-0 goal, will meet Arambagh Krira Sangha in order to stay in the tournament scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday) in the lone encounter at 4 pm at the same venue.
