Three killed in Sirajganj road accidents
SIRAJGANJ, Dec 19, 2019 (BSS) – Three people were killed and ten others
injured in two separate road accidents in the district today.
Hatikumrul Highway police sources said a truck driver and his helper were
killed as a passenger bus collided head-on with the truck in Horinchara area
on Hatikumrul-Bonpara Highway in Salonga this morning.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Raju Ahmed, 28, and his
helper Hamjala Rony, 22. Both were residents of Nandigram Upazila under
Bogura district. Raju died on the spot while Rony succumbed to his injuries
on way to hospital.
Police seized both the bus and truck. Injured people were admitted to
nearby hospitals.
In another accident, a bus crushed a pedestrian this noon in front of
Nimgachi Degree College on Bhuiyagati-Nimgachi Road in Raiganj Upazila. The
deceased was identified as Sanowar Hossain, 50, hailed from Srirampur village
of the upazila.
