DHAKA, Dec 18, 2019 (BSS)- The USA Embassy here is supporting the national
beat box championship with 16 local beat boxers to be held in the capital
tomorrow.
The programme will be organized by ‘Beat Box Bangladesh’ at Jamuna Future
Park,
The winner of the championship will represent Bangladesh at an
international beat box championship in New York next year, an US embassy
media note said here today.
Beatboxing, also known as vocal percussion, is a musical style that uses
the mouth, tongue, and voice to mimic traditional musical instruments, drums,
and other sounds.
The US Arts Envoy Program supports the champs to share best of the US
arts community with the world to foster cross-cultural understanding and
collaboration and to demonstrate shared values and aspirations.
Beat box Bangladesh was established in 2014 and has organized the annual
National Beat box Championship of Bangladesh since 2017.
