BGB greet BSF with sweets on Victory Day at Hili

RANGPUR, Dec 17, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on the occasion of the Great Victory Day-2019 greeted members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Hili border in Dinajpur on Monday.

BSF Shree Jagdis Prasad and exchanged greetings on the zero line at Hili
border.

Commander Naik Rakib Hossain and other members of BGB and BSF were present.

Talking to reporters after exchanging greetings with BSF members, Subedar
Altab Hossain said that ten packets of sweets were gifted to BSF members to
greet them on the occasion of celebration of the 49th Victory Day of
Bangladesh.

“Both BGB and BSF usually greet each-other with sweets and gift items on the
occasions of different religious and national festivals of the two
neighbouring countries,” he said.

“This kind of practice is being cultured for a long to further
strengthening the existing friendly relations between the two neighbouring
border guards working along the common international borders to maintain
peace and tranquility,” he added.
