Sheikh Abdullah recalls contribution of FFs

DHAKA, Dec 16, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Md Abdullah today said today paid due respect to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to the cause of country’s independence.

He paid the respect while addressing a discussion as chief guest at Tungipara Upazila Parishad Chhattar organised by Tungipara Upazila Administration marking the victory day.

The state minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched drives against corruption to make the country free from corruption.

The defeated force of 1971 killed Bangabandhu and hampered the development progress of the country leaving the country without a guardian, he said.

Now, Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina for her dynamic leadership is considered as a role model in the world as she has turned Bangladesh into one of the fastest growing and developing countries in the world, said the state minister.

Former chairmen of Red Crescent, Bangladesh Freedom Fighter Sheikh Kabir Ahmed, Upazila Chairmen Solaiman Biswas, Acting president of Tungipara Awami League (AL) Elias Hossen Sarder, were present and spoke on the occasion.
