Victory Day celebrated in Tokyo
DHAKA, Dec 16, 2019 (BSS) – The 49th Victory Day of Bangladesh was
celebrated in Tokyo today with due respect and festivity.
Different activities were organised by the Bangladesh embassy. The
programmes began with hoisting of the national flag and national anthem at
the embassy premises in the morning.
Charge d’ affaires Sahida Akter hoisted the flag while all the officials
and representatives of Bangladesh community were present, the embassy said in
a statement.
Later, one-minute silence of respect followed by special prayer was
offered in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for achieving the
Independence of the country in 1971.
