‘No alternative to better education quality’

RANGPUR, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud today said there is no alternative to proper and modern education to build a developed Bangladesh to realise dream of the people.

“Along with flourishing talents, students should come forward to build a Bangladesh free from corruption, terrorism, militancy and drugs,” he said while addressing a function at his conference room in the city as the chief guest.

The RpMP organised the function for distribution of scholarships among 29 talented students, who are children of the RpMP families, for their brilliant results in the PSC and JSC examinations- 2018 and SSC and HSC examinations- 2019.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) of RpMP Kazi Muttaki Ibnu Minan, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Police Super) of City Special Branch Shamima Pervin, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters) Abdullah Faruk, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) Shahidullah Kawsar and other police officials were present.

Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Professor Dr. Shah Md. Sarwar Jahan of the Department of Medicine of Rangpur Medical College and Hospital also addressed the function as guests of honour.

Later, the chief guest distributed certificates, medals, scholarship money and books among 29 brilliant students of RpMP families for their brilliant results in the last PSC, JSC, SSC and HSC examinations. He also wished the scholarship recipient brilliant students for their continuous success and brighter future.
