Bangabandhu birth centenary publication sub-committee holds meeting
DHAKA, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – A meeting of the Publication and Literature Sub-committee of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary celebration national implementation committee was held today at the International Mother Language Institute in the city.
Convener of the sub-committee former Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith presided over the meeting while Chief Coordinator of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech.
During the meeting, the committee had an elaborate discussion on the progresses of the different publications marking the celebration of the birth centenary of the architect of independent Bangladesh.
Among others, Member Secretary of the sub-committee Poet Habibullah Siraji, R. A. M. Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, Professor Syed Anwar Husain, Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan, Literary Personality Selina Hossain, Poet Mohammad Nurul Huda, Professor Rafiqullah Khan, Poet Muhammad Samad, Poet Asim Shah, Advocate Sadia Begum and Publishers Farid Ahmed, Osman Gani, Mazharul Islam, Sahidul Islam Biju and Khorshed Bahar were present.
