Candidacy of Bablu and another cancelled
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – The nomination papers of Jatiya Party nominee Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and the Gono Front nominee Uttam Kumar Chowdhury was declared canceled.
Regional Election officer of Chattogram Hasanuzzaman disclosed it to the respective candidates as well as to media persons this afternoon.
EC office sources said JP candidate Ziauddin Bablu was a granter of one bank loan defaulter and according to election code of conduct; the defaulter should pay the loan before submission of nomination paper. But the defaulter deposited the loan amount on that very date of submission of nomination paper.
On the other hand, GF candidate did not fill up nomination paper as per prescribed manner and hence his nomination paper was declared void. The last date of submitting the nomination papers was December 12 last for the by-polls of Chattogram-08 parliament seat.
