Husband kills newly married wife in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS)- A housewife was allegedly slaughtered by her husband after 14-day of their marriage in city’s Halishahar East colony area in the early hours of today.
The victims was identified as Surma Akhter Meem ,20, wife of trolley driver Mohammad Javed both hailed from Jhalakati district, also a rented resident of the said area.
Halishahor thana police said Javed got court marriage with Surma on December 1 last and the tragic incident occurred after 14 days of their marriage.
Quoting locals, police said that the tragic incident occurred following the family feud.
Officer-in-Charge of Bandar thana Sukanta Chakraborty told BSS that sensing the news of murder, police forces rushed to the spot instantly and send the body to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Victim’s husband Javed remained absconding after the incident, police said.
