Road accidents kill 3 in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS)- Three persons, including two motorbike riders, were killed in two separate road accidents in the district today.
According to the police and local sources, the deceased persons were identified as Sifat Hossain, 20, son of Nazmul Hossain, Khayer Ali, 50, son of late Barkat Ali, and Masud Rana, 35, son of Iliash Ali.
Mustaque Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of Mohanpur Police Station, said motorbike rider Sifat Hossain hit one of the pedestrians Khayer Ali and skidded off the road after being lost control over his bike.
The accident occurred in Tetultola area under Mohanpur upazila around 8.30 am. Both of them were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Another motorbike rider Masud Rana received injuries when he falls prey to a head-on collision with a truck in Godagari area around 11 am.
He succumbed to his injuries on the way to a nearby hospital, said Khairul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Godagari Model Police Station.
