Govt publishes list of 10,789 Razakars
DHAKA, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – The Liberation War Ministry today published
a list of 10,789 Razakars who were collaborators of the Pakistani occupation
forces during the Liberation War in 1971.
“At the first phase, we are publishing a list of 10,789 Razakars
reviewing the documents of the home ministry,” Liberation War Affairs
Minister AKM Mozammel Haque told a press conference at the ministry.
He said more list will be published in phases after proper scrutiny and
examination.
The minister said efforts are underway to collect list from the record
room of different districts and those lists which were published from BG
press during the period.
Publishing a draft list of freedom fighters Mozammel Haque said the
number of bona fide freedom fighters will not be more than 2.10 lakh.
He said works are underway to publish a single list of freedom fighters
after compiling different lists.
Final list will be published before the next March 26, the Independence
Day, he added.
