GAZIPUR-FREE-DAY
Gazipur freed on December 15
DHAKA, Dec 14, 2019 (BSS) – Gazipur was freed from the Pakistani occupation forces on December 15, 1971. The day would be observed in a befitting manner through different programmes.
Gazipur City Corporation would organize a discussion and reception to the freedom fighters of the area at Banga Taj Auditorium at 10 am tomorrow.
Gazipur Sammilito Peshajibi Parishad and Gazipur Union of Journalists Union would organize a discussion at Gazipur Press Club. Besides, different cultural organisations would organize ‘bijoy mela’ at several places.
“Gazipur played a glorious role at the beginning of the Liberation War,” former Member of Parliament (MP) and Gazipur district Muktijoddha Commander Kazi Mozammel Haq told BSS.
