Amu calls for unity to face anti-liberation forces

JHALKATHI, Dec 12, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League Advisory Council member Amir Hossain Amu today urged all to be united against the conspiracies being hatched by anti-liberation forces.

“The defeated forces of 1971 are hatching conspiracies to create impediment on the way to development of the country. So, all should be united to thwart all intrigues,” he said.

The senior ruling party leader came up with the call while addressing the first session of triennial council of District AL as the chief guest on Shishu Park premises here.

Bangladesh has become the role model of development across the globe under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said, adding that many statesmen across the globe have started praising the contributions of the premier to usher in a new era of development in the country.

Terming AL as a family, Amu further said stern actions should be taken to those who would be indulged in creating splits in the party.

The responsible persons, who opposed the ‘Boat’ symbol during different elections, will not get any place in the Awami League committees, he added.

In the second session of the council, Amu announced the names of president and general secretary of Jhalkathi District AL.

Md Shah Alam and Khan Saifullah Ponir were made president and general secretary respectively of the committee for next three years.
