Ambassador of Kosovo calls on Speaker
DHAKA, Dec 12, 2019 (BSS)- Ambassador of Kosovo Guner Ureya today paid a courtesy call on Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her office.
During the meeting, they discussed about bilateral relations, parliamentary friendship group, expansion of trade and commerce and socio economic condition of Kosovo, a handout said here today.
The Speaker said the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Kosovo would be strengthened in future by establishing a parliamentary friendship group.
Under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh achieved independence in 1971, she added.
She also said, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has now become a role model of development.
Dr Chaudhury urged businessmen of Kosovo to invest here in expanding the jute and pharmaceutical industries in Bangladesh.
The ambassador of Kosovo termed Bangladeshi people as very friendly and said Bangladesh and Kosovo both believe in strong family ties.
High officials of the parliament secretariat were present on the occasion.
