Without Bangabandhu country could not be freed: Khalid
DHAKA, Dec 12, 2019 (BSS)-State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid today said the country would never have been freed, if Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had not been born.
He was addressing a discussion meeting as chief guest as part of the week-long programs on Victory Day and Mymensingh Free Day in Chuto Bazar area in the city of Mymensingh.
Former Vice Chairman of Muktijoddha Sangsad Central Command Council Salahuddin, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, Zilla Awami League Joint-Secretary MA Koddus, Freedom Fighter Selim Sarker, among others, addressed, with former Commander of Zilla Muktijodda Sangsad Selim Sajjad in the chair.
The state minister urged the leaders and workers of Awami League to make the hands of Premier Sheikh Hasina stronger to build a ‘Sonar Bangla’.
