DRUG-PEDDLERS-ARREST
Two held, 600 bottles phensidyl seized in Turag
DHAKA, Dec 11, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1)
arrested two members of inter-district drug peddlers’ gang and seized 600
bottles of phensidyl from Diyabari Bottola area under Turag Thana this
morning.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of RAB-1 Mohammad Kamruzzaman
said, on a tip-off, a team of the RAB-1 seized the phensidyl bottles from a
tomato-laden covered van and arrested its driver Md Biplob, 24, and helper Md
Ibrahim, 25.
Apart from phensidyl bottles, cash Taka 2,420 and two mobile phones were
also seized from their possession.
During primary interrogation, both they confessed of being members of a
drug smugglers gang and informed that they collected the contraband drugs
from a peddler of Chapainawabganj and distributed them across the country
including Dhaka.
The official said a case was filed in this connection.
