SAVAR, Dec 10, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral
Resources Nasrul Hamid today underscored the need for more research aiming to
make the renewable energy available for the people.
“Necessary initiatives should be taken for conducting more research to
make the renewable energy available for the common people”, said the state
minister while addressing as the chief guest at an innovative idea hunting
grand finale competition on the use of renewable energy at Sheikh Hasina
National Youth Centre in Savar here.
Despite the price of the renewable energy is comparatively higher, but
this sort of the energy is becoming popular in the developed world due to its
environment friendliness, said Nasrul at the function arranged by Young
Bangla in cooperation with Power Cell and Green Delta Life Insurance Limited.
The competition–Bichhuran–started on October 21 and more than 700
students from different educational institutions including 50 Universities
across the country submitted their innovative ideas on the use of renewable
energy till November 18.
Power Cell Director General Mohammad Hossain and Managing Director ofGreen
Delta Life Insurance Limited Farzana Chowdhury also spoke on the occasion
among others.
