DHAKA, Dec 10, 2019 (BSS)-Rangpur Rangers captain Mohammad Nabi was
unfazed by the form of fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman when Bangladesh team
management remained worried over his recent tendency of leaking runs in
abundance in shortest format of the cricket.

Nabi rather backed Mustafizur to hit back in the form in the Bangabandhu
Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL), saying that they would try to inspire the
left-arm pacer, adorably called as the Fizz, to do his best.

“It is not important that Mustafizur is not on the track. We believe he
will come back on track when it matters most and will contribute for the side
as best as he can. We will work as a unit and as a team and we will discuss
about his problem and we will make him play every single game and work
together,” Nabi said here today.

Nabi who was appointed as the captain of Rangpur Rangers revealed that
they have got the right mix to go far in the tournament.

“Most of the young talents are there and we have experienced overseas
players. Thanks to the management for trusting me as the captain for Rangpur
Rangers and we will try our best to come up with a winning combination for
the tournament,” he said.

Nabi said that he is not worried with the environment as he is well
aware of the condition considering he is playing for a long period of time.

“It is not new to me in Bangladesh because for last eight to nine years
I am playing every year in Bangladesh. All the time I am playing in Dhaka,
Chittagong and Sylhet everywhere and so I know the condition and everything,”
he said adding that he is not aware of playing a leg spinner in the playing
XI.

“I do not know about leg spinner rule. If that was in the rule we will
definitely play the leg spinner all the time. We will discuss with management
to see what the rule,” said Nabi. He believes that adaption as quickly as
possible is key to do well in the tournament.

“It’s quick learning all the time and as I told before that I know the
condition very well and there will be dew in the latter part on most of the
time,” said Nabi.

“The condition of the pitches on most of the time is changing as playing
in first innings and the second innings is always different.”
