BADC to procure 2,165 tonnes Boro seed in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, June 5, 2018 (BSS) – Contract Grower office, a seed wing of
Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC), will procure 2,165
tonnes of Boro seed in the district this year.
Local BADC officials said five varieties of Boro seed will be collected.
The seeds are – BR-14, BR-26, BRRI-28, BRRI- 29 and BRRI- 74.
Deputy Director of Contract Grower here Khagendra Chandra Roy said farmers
already harvested Boro paddy. He said the target of collecting Boro seed will
be achieved as farmers got good yield this year.
