55 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, June 5, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in an anti-drug drives from Monday
evening to this morning, arrested 55 persons including two drug traders from
eight upazilas of the district.
Inspector of District Special Branch of Police Azam Khan said, they were
picked up on various charged from different areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested eight persons, Kalaroa
Thana police arrested six persons, Tala Thana police arrested four persons,
Kaliganj Thana police arrested 10 persons, Shyamnagar Thana police arrested
12 persons, Assasuni Thana police arrested eight persons, Patkelghata Thana
police arrested five persons and Debhata Thana police arrested two persons.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with
different police stations against the arrested persons, he added.
The arrested were sent to jail.
