Met office issues warning for river ports
DHAKA, June 05, 2018 (BSS) – River ports in 18 districts across the country
have been asked to hoist cautionary signal number one as rain accompanied by
gusty or squally wind is likely to occur in many places in 12 hours till 6 pm
today.
According to a warning massage issued by Bangladesh Meteorological
Department (BMD) here today, the river ports in the said districts should
hoist cautionary signal number one as rain or thundershowers accompanied by
temporary West or North-Westerly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is
likely to occur in many places over the country during the same period.
The district are Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh,
Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali,
Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s bazar and Sylhet, it added. .
