DU-CONVOCATION
52nd DU convocation tomorrow
DHAKA, Dec 8, 2019 (BSS) – The 52nd convocation of Dhaka University (DU)
will be held on its campus tomorrow with the participation of 20,796
graduates.
President Abdul Hamid, also the Chancellor of the university, will preside
over the gala event at the central playground of the university.
Nobel laureate in physics Professor Dr Takaaki Kajita, also director of the
Institute for Cosmic Ray Research of Tokyo University in Japan, will attend
as the convocation speaker, said DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md
Akhtaruzzaman at a press conference on Saturday.
The convocation will begin at 11.30am. Graduates can collect their
certificates after completion of the convocation ceremony.
DU affiliated seven colleges will participate in the convocation ceremony
from two venues — Dhaka College and Eden Mohila College– through video
conferencing.
