Three killed in Pirojpur road accident
PIROJPUR, Dec 8, 2019 (BSS) – Three people including a freedom fighter
(FF) was killed and two others injured as a bus hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw
in Mathbaria’s Jhautola area of the district this morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as freedom fighter Afjal Ahmed, 65,
of Debipur upazila and auto-rickshaw driver Belal Hossain, 35. Identity of
another deceased could not be known.
Officer-in-Charge of Mathbaria police station M Maksudul Islam said the
accident took place on the Pirojpur-Mathbaria-Patharghata road when the bus
hit the auto-rickshaw, leaving its one passenger dead on the spot and four
others injured.
The injured were rushed to Mathbaria Upazila Health Complex where two
others succumbed to their injuries.
The others were sent to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital
for better treatment.
