2 cousins drown in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 5, 2019 (BSS) – Two cousins drowned in Agrabad Dheba in
Agrabad area of Doublemooring thana in the port city today.
The victims were identified as Lamia Akter, 04, daughter of Jahangir Alam
and her cousin Meghla Akter, 05, daughter of Mohammad Hossain, both hailed
from Agrabad area of Doublemooring thana.
Locals said the children went to visit their paternal aunt’s house in
Agrabad area in the city on Wednesday morning. While playing on the bank of
Agrabad Dheba beside their paternal aunt’s house in the evening, they
suddenly fell into the water body.
A general diary (GD) was filed with Doublemooring thana after their
relatives searched the entire locality for them.
On information, police recovered the bodies from the water body at around
7 am today.
Police is investigating into the incident, Sub Inspector Mohammad Imran
said.
