NETRAKONA, Dec 5, 2019 (BSS)-Speakers at an advocacy meeting on “Family
Planning Service And Preventing Child Marriage ” held here today underlined
the need for raising massive awareness for controlling population growth and
saying “no” to the child marriage.
“All of us should come forward with social movement through creating mass
awareness and all hurdles including superstitions and illiteracy must be
stamped out with a view to controlling birth rate and preventing child
marriage” the speakers said.
Netrakona District Family Planning Department organized the meeting held
at the conference room of Netrakona Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office in
observance of the Family Welfare Service and Publicity Week-2019.
DC , Netrakona Main-UL-Islam addressed the meeting as chief guest while
Deputy Director of The District Family Planning Department Mohammad Motiur
Rahman presided over the advocacy meeting .
Mayor of Netrakona Municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, Additional Police
Superintendent Faqruzzzaman Jewel, Freedom Fighter Abdur Rahim and General
Secretary of Netrakona Press Club Shamolendu Paul , were among others, took
part in it .
