Al Amin secures bronze in SAG long jump athletics

KATHMANDUM, Dec 4, 2019 (BSS)-Al Amin won bronze medal in the men’s long
jump event of the ongoing South Asian Games held Wednesday at Dasarath
Rangasala Stadium here.

He jumped 7.60 meter.

Lokesh Sathiana of India won gold medal with 7.87 meter while his
countryman Swaminathan Rob bagged silver medal in this event with 7.77 meter.

Talking to the press Al Amin in his immediate reaction said he is very
happy on winning the bronze medal despite getting inadequate facility.

He said if he is given higher training, then he would be able to win
gold for the country in the SA Games.

Meanwhile, Shirin Akter finished seventh among the eight participants in
the women’s 200m sprint with a time of 25.59 second.

Archana Sushanto of India won gold medal in this event with a time of
23.66 seconds while Nazma Parvin of Pakistan bagged silver medal with a time
of 23.69 seconds.

On the other hand, Mohammad Saiful Islam finished seventh among the
eight participants in the men’s 200m event sprint with a time of 21.70
seconds.

Uzair Rehman of Pakistan won gold in this event with time of 21.15
seconds while Dinoze Suranjaya of Sri Lanka secured silver with a time of
21.19 seconds.
