DNCC-MOSQUITO-ELIMINATION
DNCC adds modern appliances for effective mosquito elimination
DHAKA, Dec 04, 2019 (BSS) – As per the suggestions of the expert
Entomologists, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) bought 22 modern
machineries for speedy and effective mosquito elimination.
20 Mist Blower aka Power Spray machines and 2 Vehicle Mounting Fogger
Machines has been bought already, said a DNCC press release issued here this
morning.
More 3 fogger machines will be bought soon.
DNCC will provide ten areas with 2 Mist blowers each, for larviciding in
the covered drains to destroy the eggs and larvae of the Malaria and other
mosquitoes.
Also, the Vehicle Mounting Fogger Machines bought from Germany will be used
for killing adult mosquitoes bearing viruses, commonly known as adulticiding.
The fogger machines are capable to adulticide many areas in a short time,
added the release.
Earlier on 21 November, DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the Mist Blower
machines.
According to the release, DNCC have been using the fogger machines since
November this year.
