KATHMANDU, Dec 3, 2019 (BSS)- Mohammad Omar Farooq made the nation proud as he bagged the silver medal for Bangladesh under the men’s category in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games Wushu Championship with 9.34 points held on Tuesday at army physical fitness center at Lagankhel.
Besides, PHG Wathsala of Sri Lanka also bagged silver under women’s category with 8.55 points.
Meanwhile, Nur Bahar Begum of Bangladesh and Saumya Prabhakar Koswtyha of Sri Lanka bagged bronze medal under women’s category with 7.53 points and 9.13 points respectively.
Nepal has won two gold medals in this event. The gold medalists are Bijay Sinjali of men’s category and Sushmita Tamang of women’s category.
Sinjali lead the men’s Changquan event after scoring 9.48 points. Sushmita Tamang scored 9.44 points to win the gold for Nepal.
